# Pricing — MouseTuner

MouseTuner is a native menu bar app for customizing mice and trackpads on macOS. One price, paid
once. There is no subscription, and no tier gates any feature.

## Availability

Checkout is open. The buy button on the pricing page goes to a hosted checkout run by
Dodo Payments Inc., which sells the license as Merchant of Record, charges in USD and
emails the License Key after payment.

The 30-day trial does not depend on buying — the app can be downloaded and used in full
right now, without an account or a payment method.

## Trial

- Price: $0 for 30 days
- Account required: no
- Payment method required: no
- Features: everything the paid license has, including DPI and SmartShift settings
- Limits: none during the trial
- After expiry: Smooth Scrolling, Button Mapping, per-app overrides and trackpad edges
  stop; the app keeps your settings and behaves as if it were not installed until activated

## Paid license

- Price: $9.90 USD, one-time
- Billing: one-time purchase, not a subscription
- Machines: up to 3 per license key
- Updates: free for the life of the license
- Refund: 14 days, no questions asked
- Account required: no — a license key is emailed to you and activated on the machine
- Features: identical to the trial; buying removes the 30-day limit

## What the price includes

- Smooth Scrolling with a visually editable scroll curve and live preview
- Button Mapping: 7 trigger types (click, double click, long press, directional drag,
  chord, hold + scroll, scroll) to 10 action types (keyboard shortcut, system action,
  media key, open app, open URL, AppleScript, shell script, modifier hold,
  pan while held, toggle wheel mode)
- Per-app overrides for both scroll curves and button mappings
- DPI and SmartShift settings, battery level and button count on recognized
  Logitech mice
- Ignoring trackpad touches while a mouse is connected, or only along the trackpad's edges
- Automatic input source switching by app or by browser domain

## Requirements

- macOS 15 or later, Apple Silicon or Intel
- Accessibility permission (required for scrolling, button mapping and trackpad edges)
- Distributed as a Developer ID-signed and notarized download and a Homebrew Cask

## Not included

MouseTuner does not do these, and is not planned to:

- Controlling several computers with one mouse
- Firmware updates
- Keyboard settings
